How we help you immigrate from Ireland to Canada
Permanent residence
For a long-term move, consultants can assess Express Entry independently of temporary work eligibility. Services include profile preparation, application support after an invitation and separate reviews of work you have already prepared.
Spousal sponsorship
If you are joining a spouse or partner in Canada, consultants can assess sponsorship and plan the application with you. Consultants explain the agreed service to both partners so the process starts with clear responsibilities.

Work permits
Eligible Irish citizens may have International Experience Canada options, depending on the category, previous participation and current availability. Consultants can also assess a Canadian job offer and explain how its permit requirements differ from a temporary work-and-travel program.
Check the current IEC invitation rounds. A consultation does not reserve a place.
Study permits
If you want to pursue Canadian education, consultants can assess your study permit circumstances and help prepare the application. Consultants discuss the educational goal directly rather than assume study is the best route for every permanent move.
Refusals and changed circumstances
A refusal or returned application can leave you unsure what to do next. Book a paid consultation to discuss what happened and whether further application support is appropriate.

Frequently asked questions
Is it easy for Irish to move to Canada?
Irish citizenship can provide access to International Experience Canada, but moving temporarily and becoming a permanent resident are different decisions. Eligible Irish citizens aged 18 to 35 may use Working Holiday for up to 24 months, subject to the program rules and available invitations. An Irish passport must remain valid for the intended stay because the work permit cannot extend beyond its expiry.
Is 40 too old to immigrate to Canada?
Being 40 does not automatically prevent an Irish applicant from immigrating to Canada. Express Entry still awards age points at 40, although fewer than it awards younger candidates. Education, language ability, work experience and other factors also affect ranking. Ireland’s regular International Experience Canada categories have an upper age limit of 35, so those temporary options should not be confused with permanent residence eligibility.
Can I work in Canada as an Irish citizen?
Irish citizens may work in Canada when they have the required authorization. International Experience Canada offers eligible applicants Working Holiday and employer-specific options, but admission as a visitor does not itself provide work authorization. For Ireland’s Young Professionals category, a signed job offer or employment contract is required before submitting a profile. Check current invitation availability before planning a start date.
How much bank balance is required for a Canada PR visa?
An Irish applicant’s permanent residence funds depend on the program and family size, rather than Irish nationality. Use IRCC’s current settlement-funds table where it applies. The money must remain available when you apply and when a permanent resident visa is issued. Funds held solely in a spouse’s account may count, but you must prove you can access them.
Can I live in Canada as an Irish citizen?
An Irish citizen can live in Canada with the appropriate temporary or permanent status, but Irish citizenship does not grant an unrestricted right to settle. For permanent residence through the Federal Skilled Worker Program, foreign education requires an immigration-purpose educational credential assessment. That assessment confirms Canadian equivalency; holding an Irish degree alone does not replace the required report.
