Who this is for

You may be preparing your first profile, waiting in the pool or holding an Invitation to Apply. The right support depends on your stage and the program requirements you meet.

You have Canadian work experience

You have qualifying Canadian work experience and want help checking your eligibility or preparing the next application stage. Canadian Experience Class support can cover your profile and the permanent residence application after an invitation.

You have skilled work experience in Canada or abroad

You have qualifying skilled work experience in Canada or abroad. Get help checking education, language results and the program’s separate selection factors. Federal Skilled Worker support includes profile preparation within the published application package.

You work in a skilled trade

You have experience in an eligible skilled trade. Your job offer or Canadian certificate of qualification needs careful review against the Federal Skilled Trades requirements. Confirm the proposed work and scope before retaining support.

How we can help with Express Entry

Your written agreement identifies the work included. Preparation, submission and later correspondence are distinct responsibilities.

01

Check your options and score

Review your work history, education, language results and family circumstances. Distinguish program eligibility from the Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score used to rank profiles. An eligible profile does not guarantee an invitation.

02

Prepare your profile

Prepare the profile using the documents that support your claimed qualifications. Identify information that needs clarification before it is submitted. The service agreement confirms responsibility for profile updates and monitoring.

03

Check your supporting documents

Compare the documents with the facts entered in your profile. Check the employer letters, education records and other evidence required for your application. You provide the underlying records and confirm that your information is accurate.

04

Get your application ready after an invitation

An Invitation to Apply is valid for 60 days. Prepare the electronic application and its personalized document checklist through the permitted Express Entry filing route. See what to do after receiving an ITA for the detailed sequence.

05

Follow up with IRCC

Review correspondence and prepare the responses covered by your agreement. Additional applications, refusal work or a procedural fairness response may require a different scope. Confirm what is included before the work begins.

Choose the help you need

A review may fit when you have prepared the file yourself. Preparation support covers the work you agree to retain.

Help preparing your profile or application

Choose help preparing the profile, or the agreed permanent residence application work after an invitation. The published CEC and FSW packages include initial profile creation. A profile-only service is also available. Confirm the program, stage and included follow-up in writing.

A review of what you’ve prepared

You prepare the profile or ITA-stage application and retain a review of that work. These are two distinct review services. A review does not automatically include preparation, submission or ongoing representation. Your agreement identifies the documents and work being reviewed.

Compare services and fees

A licensed RCIC is regulated by the College of Immigration and Citizenship Consultants. The College maintains a public register and professional standards, with a complaints process. Verify the consultant’s current status before retaining services; licensing does not guarantee an immigration outcome.

What we check before you apply

An invitation can leave little time to resolve conflicting records. These checks focus on the evidence supporting your profile and application.

Work hours or dates that do not match

Before an employer signs, Mirzoyan Immigration Services compares the letter’s weekly hours and dates with the work history in your profile. IRCC accepts a letter signed by the immediate supervisor or personnel officer. Check the required employment-letter details before submission.

Job duties that do not match your occupation

A job title alone may not establish the occupation you claimed. Compare your actual duties with the relevant occupation description and your employer’s evidence. Differences need to be resolved without changing the facts of the work you performed.

Money you cannot use for settlement

Mirzoyan Immigration Services checks whether required settlement funds are available and sufficient for the family size recorded. Bank letters include the six-month average balance. That does not mean the minimum must have been held continuously for six months. Borrowed funds do not qualify.

Express Entry requirements

You must meet one of the federal programs’ requirements and be admissible to Canada. You must also intend to live outside Quebec. This table summarizes basic differences; the full program conditions still apply.

FSW eligibility uses a separate selection grid, with 67 out of 100 points required. CRS ranks eligible Express Entry profiles. Job-offer CRS points were removed on March 25, 2025. IRCC’s 2025 amendment

From November 3, 2026, qualifying high-wage offers may receive points under Labour Market Integration. An offer outside the high-wage list may still support program eligibility when it meets the program’s requirements. IRCC changes

Accepted language tests include CELPIP-General, IELTS General Training, PTE Core, TEF Canada and TCF Canada. Results must be less than two years old when you complete your profile and submit your permanent residence application.

Category-based invitations have additional criteria, and cut-offs vary by round. Compare FSW, CEC and FST or read the CRS score explanation for more detail.

What it costs and how long it takes

These government fees are separate from the professional fee for preparation or review. Language tests, educational assessments, medicals, police certificates and translations can create additional costs.

Express Entry government fees in Canadian dollars
ItemAmount (CAD)What it covers
Principal applicant$1,590$990 processing fee plus $600 right of permanent residence fee.
Accompanying spouse or common-law partner$1,590$990 processing fee plus $600 right of permanent residence fee.
Dependent child$270 eachProcessing fee; no right of permanent residence fee.
Biometrics, when required$85 per personEligible family members applying at the same time: maximum $170.

Waiting in the pool happens before the permanent residence application. An invitation gives you 60 days to apply. IRCC’s six-month service standard relates to the complete Express Entry application; it is not a guaranteed completion date.

Check IRCC’s current processing-time tool for the relevant estimate. Hiring a representative does not give your file priority. Your own preparation time and any time waiting for an invitation are separate.

Know your fees before you start

Choose the stage and the work you need covered before agreeing to a professional fee. The written service agreement confirms scope and responsibilities.

Government charges and third-party expenses are separate. A profile review, application review and retained preparation service cover different work. Compare the published options before booking.

Your Express Entry questions, answered

How much does a consultant charge for Canada PR?

The professional fee depends on the work retained, such as profile preparation, application support or a review. Published fees show the available options. CEC and FSW application packages include initial profile creation, so do not add a separate profile fee again. Government fees and third-party costs are separate. Your written agreement confirms the work covered.

Which consultancy is best for Canada PR?

Choose a provider whose authorization, service scope and communication arrangements fit your application. Verify the individual’s professional status before signing. Ask who will prepare and submit the file, who answers questions, and what happens after submission. For Express Entry, confirm whether the agreement covers the profile, the post-ITA application, a review, or a combination.

Are immigration consultants worth it?

Professional help can be useful when your occupation, work records, immigration history or supporting evidence need closer review. A straightforward file may be manageable using IRCC’s free instructions. You can also choose a narrower profile or ITA-stage review rather than full preparation. The value is the work agreed and performed, not a promise of an invitation or approval.

Can an immigration lawyer speed up the process in Canada?

Hiring a lawyer or immigration consultant does not give an application priority with IRCC. A representative can help prepare the evidence and respond to correspondence within the agreed scope. That work is separate from waiting for an Express Entry invitation and government processing. Check IRCC’s guidance on representatives and avoid any promise of faster approval.

Can I change my IRCC representative?

You can change or cancel your representative by following IRCC’s instructions and submitting the Use of a Representative form, IMM 5476. A change does not restart the 60-day Invitation to Apply deadline. Before changing arrangements, confirm access to your records, any outstanding correspondence and who is responsible for the remaining work. A new service requires an agreed scope.
